We are entering week 2 of our Reawaken Journey. Sometimes during a fast we become focused on the physical hardship we are facing or feel overwhelmed with the needs we are bringing to God in prayer. And if we are not careful, we become more focused on the fast than the One we are surrendering to.
Today, let's spend time praising Him for who He is and giving thanks for things He has already done and will do. Why not use one of the Psalms and read it out loud as your praise to Him. Try singing a song of praise to Him, or turn on some praise music and get lost in the atmosphere of worship. Take some time and write down in your Journey Journal some things that God has already done in your life.
Here is a Psalm that might help you enter God’s presence with a thankful heart.

Psalm 100:1-5 (MSG)
A song of praise for the Lord's faithfulness to His people, a psalm of thanksgiving:
1 On your feet now - applaud GOD!
2 Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into His presence.
3 Know this: GOD is God, and God, GOD.
He made us; we didn't make Him.
We're His people, His well-tended sheep.
4 Enter with the password: "Thank you!"
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank Him. Worship Him.
5 For GOD is sheer beauty, all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
